Windows or macOS won't open the app
Why the unknown publisher or unverified app warning appears, and how to get past it.
Lumina Live's installers aren't digitally signed yet; a signature costs money every year. That's why Windows and macOS are wary of it the first time. The code is public and anyone can review it.
Windows: “Windows protected your PC”
On the blue warning, click More info.
Click Run anyway.
macOS: the app won't open
Close the warning.
Open System Settings › Privacy & Security.
Scroll down to the message about Lumina Live and click Open Anyway.
Confirm. From then on it opens normally.
Warning: Only download Lumina Live from this site or from its official GitHub repository.
If your Mac isn't Apple Silicon
For now there's only a version for Macs with an Apple chip (M1 or later) and macOS 13 or later. To check yours: Apple menu › About This Mac; if it says “Chip Apple M…”, it's Apple Silicon.
On Linux, see Linux: known issues.
