Other Bible versions
Import the version you use from a file, and choose which one opens by default and what it's called on screen.
Lumina Live comes with the Spanish Reina-Valera 1909, which is in the public domain. The Reina-Valera 1960 and most modern versions are under copyright and can't be included, but if you have the file for a version (an English Bible, for example), you can import it in a moment.
Import a version
Open Settings › Bible.
Under Import version, click Import and choose the file.
Wait for the message “Imported … (… verses)”. The new version goes at the end of the list and in the selector of the Bible tab.
| Format | File |
|---|---|
| JSON | .json |
| Zefania, USFX and OSIS | .xml, also inside a .zip |
| MyBible and MySword modules | .SQLite3 or .bbl.mybible, unzipped |
- The app recognizes the format by the content, not by the extension.
- From XML files and modules, the 66 books are imported; the deuterocanonical books are left out.
- The book names come from the file, in its language.
- Importing the same file twice creates two versions: delete the extra one.
The default version
The star (Set as default) chooses which version the Bible tab opens with when the app starts. It doesn't change the one you have open at that moment.
Rename and reorder
The pencil (Rename) changes the name. It's what the projector shows when the verse displays the version, so keep it short: “RV1909”. Drag by the handle to change the order in the selector.
Delete
The trash can (Delete) removes the version from this computer; the file it came from isn't touched. Saved schedules that quote verses from that version keep them, with their text and reference: they only lose the version's name.
Warning: If you delete the Reina-Valera 1909, it doesn't come back: the app has no way to restore it.
