Report a bug or request a feature

How to tell us what happened so it can be fixed: what to send and where.

Bugs and requests are handled on GitHub, the site where Lumina Live's code lives. You need a GitHub account, which is free.

Before you report

  1. Write down the version: Settings › About › Version.

  2. Click Open logs folder, in the same section, and find main.log and, if it's there, crash.log.

  3. If the problem is with a file (a presentation, a video, a Bible), keep it handy or note where it came from.

Report a bug

  1. Open the bug report form (opens in a new tab).

  2. Say what you did, what you expected and what happened.

  3. Fill in the version and the operating system, and attach main.log (and crash.log, if there is one).

The form is in English; if you're not comfortable with English, write in your own language.

Request a feature

To suggest something new, use the feature request form (opens in a new tab): say what you want to do and how you picture it working. Today the app doesn't have, for example:

  • Song lyrics with verses to project: presentations are used for that.
  • Cameras or capture devices: the Inputs tab is In development.
  • Automatic updates.
  • Choosing from the app where the sound comes out: that's chosen in the system.

Security problems

If you find a security problem, don't post it in a report: tell us privately from the repository's security page (opens in a new tab).

Didn't work as the guide says?

Tell us on GitHub: what you did, what you expected and what happened. That's how the app, or the guide, gets fixed.
